Dr. Bill Lombardi is a world-renowned expert in Complex Coronary Disease Therapies. Dr. Lombardi completed his M.D. at Tulane Medical School and went on to the University of Utah, Salt Lake City for his internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiology, heart failure/cardiac transplant, and interventional cardiology certified in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Lombardi returned home to Washington State and joined St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham. During his 13 year tenure at St. Joseph’s Dr. Lombardi helped to develop novel chronic total occlusion (CTO) techniques and technologies, including the inception of a “hybrid algorithm” that facilitates reproducibly successful outcomes in CTO and complex lesion PCI. Dr. Lombardi continues to innovate since 2014 at the University of Washington Medical Center as clinical professor and Director of the Complex Coronary Disease Therapies Program. Teaching has always been a passion of Dr. Lombardi’s, who continues to commit his time and expertise for physician training, CME courses and proctoring. On his free time Dr. Lombardi enjoys sailing on his boat “Lioness”, fishing, and spending time with family.
