Neil M. Gheewala, MD, MPH, FACC is the Assistant Director of Structural Heart Interventions at Tucson Medical Center and Pima Heart & Vascular in Tucson, Arizona and is also the Associate Program Director for the Structural Heart Fellowship. A proud Florida native, Dr. Gheewala graduated from the six year medical program at the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Medicine as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Gheewala holds a Master in Public Health in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health. He went on do his internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School and did his Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology training at Brown University. He finished his training by specializing in Structural Heart Diseases at Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Gheewala performs TAVR with a special interest in alternative access, TMVR, MitraClip, Watchman, Peri-valvular leak closure, septal ablations, and hemodynamic support. He is actively engaged in clinical research and is involved in several major clinical trials. He been recently named the Co-Director of the Tucson Cardiovascular symposium in 2021 and passionate about medical education.
